Our Story

Pat Gerhardt and Christiana Parsons, mother and daughter, opened Colores de Mexico Gallery in the quaint, Colonial village of Todos Santos, Mexico seven years ago. They were the first Photography Gallery to open in this exquisite coastal town, already home to many fine art galleries, finally filling a need for images created digitally and on film.

Pat Gerhardt, Emmy Award nominated make-up artist to the stars and involved in the film industry for 30 years, became one of the first ex-patriats to move from Newport Beach, California, and has worked as photographer at large in Mexico for 18 years. Pat has documented the magical images of Todos Santos, traveling into the local mountains and neighboring pueblos to photograph some of the oldest families in the area. Her portraits were published in the book "The Treasures of Todos Santos".

Christiana Parsons, a personal stylist for home and fashion has been creating extraordinary images with camera in hand for 35 years, exhibiting her work both in Mexico and the US. In addition to images from around the world Christiana has photographed a number of exclusive, fine art style weddings and portraits, both in the states and in Todos Santos and specializes in seizing the essence of a moment in black and white.

With Pat's recent move back to her home in Newport Beach, CA, The Colores de Mexico Gallery has gone virtual, and can now be visited with the click of your mouse!
